About

Hello! My name is Janae, and I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for over four years. I am currently in nursing school, working toward becoming a Registered Nurse, and I am passionate about continuing my education so I can provide the highest quality care possible. Caring for others isn't just my career—it's something I've always been passionate about. A little about me: I love all things creative! Whether it's drawing, painting, trying new artistic projects, or designing my nails, I enjoy expressing myself through creativity. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, binge-watching my favorite shows, and treating myself to the occasional spa day. Most importantly, I genuinely love caring for and connecting with people. Even as a child, I was naturally drawn to helping others. I've always enjoyed making people feel comfortable, understood, and valued while learning about their unique backgrounds and finding the good in everyone. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. My caregiving journey began as a teenager working as a Peer Support Specialist at my mother's residential facility for children with developmental and behavioral challenges. I helped with daily activities, encouraged positive social interactions, participated in recreational activities, and built meaningful relationships with the children. This experience taught me patience, compassion, and how to communicate effectively with individuals who have different personalities, behaviors, and communication styles. It also showed me the importance of meeting people where they are and helping them feel safe, understood, and supported. During the summer before my senior year of high school, I completed an accelerated CNA program and began my career in skilled nursing facilities, where I gained valuable experience caring for older adults. After more than a year, I wanted to broaden my skills, so I became a float CNA in a hospital, working on multiple units. That role strengthened my medical knowledge, critical thinking, and ability to provide care in fast-paced environments. I began my healthcare career while I was still in high school, allowing me to gain over four years of hands-on experience at an early age. Now, as a nursing student, I continue building on that experience every day by expanding my clinical knowledge and strengthening the skills I use to care for my clients. I take great pride in being dependable, attentive, and treating every client with the same level of care and respect I would want for my own family. While I learned so much in the hospital, I realized what I missed most was having the time to truly connect with my patients. Caring for 8 to 20 patients during a shift often made it difficult to provide the emotional support I believe everyone deserves. That's what led me to home care—and I absolutely fell in love with it. For the past two years, I've had the privilege of working one-on-one with clients in their homes. I love building meaningful relationships with my clients and their families, providing companionship, encouragement, and dependable support. Being able to help someone remain comfortable, safe, and independent in the place they know best is incredibly rewarding to me. Whether your loved one needs assistance with personal care, mobility, companionship, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, or simply someone to brighten their day, I am committed to providing compassionate, reliable, and individualized care. My goal is always to help my clients feel comfortable, respected, safe, and genuinely cared for. One of the greatest compliments I consistently receive from clients and families is: *"You're so patient."* *"You have such a calming presence that makes people feel comfortable opening up to you."* Those words mean so much to me because they reflect the kind of caregiver I strive to be every day. I understand that inviting someone into your home is a big decision, and I don't take that trust lightly. I would be honored to care for your loved one with the same compassion, dignity, patience, and dedication that I would provide to my own family.
